Chris Anderson äußerte kürzlich einen interessanten Gedanken in Bezug auf die Wikipedia: Auch wenn einzelne Artikel fehlerhaft sein mögen, so sei sie als Ganzes mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit richtig. Das ist eine ungewöhnliche Beurteilung einer Enzyklopädie, an die traditionell der Anspruch erhoben wird, dass jeder Eintrag korrekt sein muss. Entsprechend sieht sich auch Anderson mit dem Einwand konfrontiert, dass es einem Benutzer nicht helfe, wenn die gesamte Wikipedia mit großer Wahrscheinlichkeit stimme. Es reiche ja, wenn man als Informationssuchender ausgerechnet an einen der wenigen falschen Artikel gerate.
